Further, this course will provide important information regarding legal considerations that will assist agencies in avoiding civil litigation. The Instructor:
Chief Richard Mello has over twenty-seven years of progressive law enforcement experience and is a military veteran. Chief Mello spent 7-years as a Cyber-Crime investigator and became a subject matter expert in the investigation of technology crime and internet crimes against children. Over the last 12 years, Chief Mello has been at the forefront of utilizing technology and social media as a successful tool to brand and promote the agency, communicate with the public and engage the community. Chief Mello has instructed police officers on various topics for the last 15 years and is an Adjunct Instructor at New England College in Henniker, NH and Norwich University in Vermont. He opened Mello Consulting & Training in 2017 as a way to give back to the profession by mentoring those who come behind him. He currently serves as the Chief of Police for the Lebanon, New Hampshire Police Department and holds a Master's Degree in Criminology from Florida State University.
